Call for Applications: Scholarship Position in the OPUS LAP Project

Position Title: PhD Student – Scholarship Holder

 

The aim of this call is to select a candidate to participate in a project funded by the National Science Centre (NCN), grant No. UMO-2021/43/I/NZ7/00342, entitled: ‘Development of multifunctional compounds affecting neuroinflammation and cholinergic deficit in Alzheimer’s disease’.

SCHOLARSHIP OBJECTIVE

The scholarship holder will participate in the research activities planned within the project. The project focuses on identifying biologically active compounds that inhibit neuroinflammatory processes and cholinergic deficits in the central nervous system (animal studies – rodent models and in vitro techniques). The responsibilities of the scholarship holder will include conducting in vivo, in vitro experiments, participating in data analysis, preparing results for publication, and presenting findings at scientific conferences.

DURATION

9 months

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS

Agreement: Scholarship agreement

Monthly allowance: 3,000 PLN (tax-exempt, paid in full)

IMPORTANT DEADLINES

Application deadline: December 15, 2025

Start date: January 2026

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Selected candidates will be invited for an interview with the Scholarship Committee. The evaluation will focus particularly on knowledge of behavioral methodologies, especially memory tests, understanding of in vivo research methodology, and principles of data analysis.
